We are all in this together
lend a hand where you can

[

It's what you do that matters

thinking about stuff only matters
when it changes what you do

[

Ideas are plentiful and easy

shared understanding is harder

More general precepts*

** You have to backtrack to escape dead ends **

If the path you're on goes nowhere, get off it.
This is the biggest and often hardest part of Creativity
Simple to say, hard to do.  It's a performance art.

Engage and connect

We are not just blundering automations:

Find out what connects you to the Universe, and hang on to it.

If you're not engaged with what you're doing

you're not being all you can be

Find a way to connect...or do something else!

Look for the good intention in others

The reality of a diverse world is that you don't immediately see what others do.  Hostile intent does exist, but misunderstood intentions are much, much more common - so:

Do what you can, accept what you can't

(and try to influence the things in between).

See the Desiderata, which puts it rather better.

Seek first to understand

Only if you start by understanding will your actions succeed.

(in Steven Covey's book - but not critical reading!)

Let resistance be your guide

See Mark Forster's guides to time management (external link).  What are you putting off?  Whatever it is, that's what you should get to grips with.  Go for the jugular - do it now. That may be all the time there is.
